Having a positive review is not a sufficient condition for publishing an article. The final decision on the expediency of publication is made by the editorial board.

Scientific topics

The journal publishes general theoretical and methodological articles on all issues of geology and geochemistry of combustible minerals. In particular, the following topics are covered: regional geology, stratigraphy, paleogeography and tectonics of areas of distribution of combustible minerals, the conditions for the formation of patterns of location of their deposits; problems of sedimentology and lithology of the provinces of combustible minerals; genesis of combustible minerals – oil, gas, coal, shale, etc .; structural features of the earth’s crust within the oil and gas provinces; reservoir properties of productive horizons of oil and gas fields; methods of prospecting, exploration and assessment of forecast reserves of combustible mineral deposits; geochemistry of deep solutions associated with the processes occurring in the upper mantle and the earth’s crust; chemical and isotopic composition of combustible minerals; modelling of processes of formation and metamorphism of combustible minerals; oil and gas migration; problems of geotechnology of combustible minerals; chemical and isotopic composition of combustible minerals; geochemistry of rare and scattered elements in rocks of oil and gas and coal areas; hydrogeology, hydrogeochemistry and protection of the hydrosphere.

Leading scientists and specialists in the field of studying the geology and geochemistry of combustible minerals are involved in the editorial board of the journal.
